Coach's Comments |
Alexander had a great work ethic throughout the camp. He worked hard and was listening to the different advice coaches were giving him. He was able to listen and then apply that on the field. When the ball was at his feet and took defenders on in the attacking third was when he was most dangerous. Alexander has a bright future ahead of him and will continue to get better if he works hard everyday to push himself to improve. |
Work on building your speed & strength - Working on strength training and quick feet drills will help with your first step in running. The game a the college level is fast and having your fast twitch muscles strong is important. Also the college game is quite physical - start a weight lifting regime to build up strength! |
Reading the game/ decision making on the ball - It is important to know where your next pass will be or if given space, where your dribble will be. Scanning the field ahead of time will help to identify what the opponent will give you. |
Work on your first touch & ball control - Continue to take your first touch out of pressure Know when to dribble or pass the ball. Decision making as a midfielder is critical to playing well and being a stand out player for college coaches. Most importantly keep possession of the ball when you get it. |
