Coach's Comments
Savannah had a great attitude at camp and was a pleasure to work with. Her athleticism and passion for volleyball really stand out. She is very receptive to feedback and up to the challenge of becoming a leader which would make her an asset to any team. She has the potential to become an elite player and will have a shining volleyball career.
Work on reading the game - One thing you can do as a setter is see where the blockers on the other team are at all times. If you see the middle blocker jumped too early with our middle, push the set outside quickly. Or if the left side blocker is cheating in to help with the middle, set back to your opposite.
Work on gaining more explosiveness - This will help you gain an advantage in blocking. And I would love to see you jump up and act like you’re going to set the outside but then dump the ball.
Work on the things that make you gain confidence - This will come naturally with more experience and more time on the court in general. More confidence will be apparent in the way you play and will in turn make your teammates more confident in you. So play as much as you can and learn learn learn!
