Coach's Comments |
Ethan is a player with natural size whose physical maturity has been accelerated by his commitment to the weightroom and physical fitness. He should excel as his work ethic steadily allows him to progress forward as an athlete and player. |
Leadership - There’s a certain way that players handle themselves which makes others gravitate toward them. They don’t necessarily have to verbalize their commitment to improvement both as a player and team- it’s just how they handle themselves and their responsibilities day in and day out that allow them to set example. Coaches and programs are always looking for leaders. |
Explosiveness - Driving through a point of destination is different than just reaching it. Certain players are faster than others at developing this trait, but explosiveness can be honed by using repetition at burst movement both with and without the ball. Work on half court speed layups and reach-jumps to improve explosiveness. |
Defending - Players who can resist against an opponents longer athletes are extremely valuable. Playing defense without committing fouls allows for coaches to rely on those players. |
