Coach's Comments
Lexi was always ready to go and eager to learn. She was a bit quiet at first, but once she was in her element she thrived! Lexi reached out to teammates and led the backrow, gave her setters and opportunity to set a quality ball, and was very positive and encouraging throughout the day. As a 2023 grad, she has the potential to do some great things if she continues to grow at this pace.
Stopped on contact - Make sure as soon as the ball is contacted, your in a good, wide position ready to move to the ball. This will make it easier to get your platform there quicker and more accurately!
Confidence - As a libero, YOU control the backrow...don't be afraid to command it! Continue being your positive, uplifting self, but if you see something that will improve the team defensively, don't be afraid to speak up.
Agility - As a backrow player, speed and explosiveness are extremely important. As you continue to develop your game, I would highly encourage focusing on agility (explosiveness from being stopped, foot speed, etc).
