Coach's Comments
I enjoyed watching Dane play center back. His effective communication with players who he didn't know made him stand out as an effective leader. He spoke in an authoritative but non threatening way so that players did what he vocalized. He has a nice physical frame conducive to being a good collegiate soccer player with continued development.
Organize your back line to narrow in and reduce gaps in between the back four. - When the opponent attacks, it's important for the back four to reduce the gaps between backs to force opponents wide and not through the middle.
Work on physical strength - Get on a disciplined weight training program to add 10-15 pounds of muscle mass as the college game is much more physical than high school/club.
Work on winning every 50/50 ball with your body/head - A confident center back who wins air duals on a consistent basis will separate you from others.
