Coach's Comments
Madison is a 2024 graduate, so she is very young and still has a lot of time to continue to develop. She has a good degree of athleticism and like to run at defenders. Her quickness allows her to create space for herself if she can get the first step on a defender. As she adds natural strength, she has the potential to become an even more effective attacking player.
Confidence - It's very important to recognize that not everything you try on the soccer field will be successful. This is especially true of attacking players. Maintain your confidence and keep taking risks in the attacking half. That's the only way to be a truly effective attacking player.
Shooting - Continue to refine shooting technique, working on striking the ball powerfully with no side spin, and also bending shots with the inside of the foot.
Speed of Play - This refers not to how fast you run or dribble, but how quickly you can make decisions, and then act on those decisions. Try to reduce the amount of time between your touches, and challenge yourself to play faster in every training session.
