Coach's Comments
Holly brought great energy both on and off the field. It is clear that Holly is a strong player that is able to get by defenders using her quickness and speed. Holly never gives up and has a great work rate. She is ready to learn and grow which was great to have at camp.
Practice! - It sounds simple but just adding in 10-15min of technical work a day will improve your ball control immensely. Try doing foundation circuits, juggle, drop cones in a small area and set a timer for a min dribble and try not to touch them. These are just a few of many options you can try. Check youtube or ask other coaches for more ideas.
Watch Soccer - Watching soccer will help grow your vision and better understand the game over all. I believe that having a better understanding of the game will help grow your confidence and leadership abilities. Watch the women's national team and see how they carry themselves and communicate on the field. This will help you develop another side of you!
Lift! - Becoming stronger will help you both hold the ball and win the ball defensively. If you have access to a gym that is great. If not there is lots you can due using your body weight. You have squats, push-ups, sit ups and lunges just to name a few. Start adding these into your daily routine!
