Coach's Comments
Makenzie, you have a lot more to offer in the game. I see that there is so much more in you and when you start to gain more and more confidence I believe you will see it as well. Communicate with the individuals around you and find ways to affect the game more. We spoke about being explosive...find ways to lose defenders and to burst into the open space to receive the ball as you will be very difficult to manage as a defender.
Ball control - I would really like to see you develop some more ball control to make you dangerous when running at defenders. You have a presence that can put fear into a defender and if you have the moves then that will separate you away from them.
Confidence - I think you have a lot of positives and a great future, but it will all start with confidence in yourself and your abilities. You should communicate more and be demanding of the ball more.
Movement - Learn to be more explosive. Don't always Trott around at the same pace, but instead find ways to be dynamic and lose defenders on killer runs at towards the goal in the box or through the midfield. I think you could separate yourself as a forward with this simple thing.
