Coach's Comments
Emma possesses excellent pace that is an asset to her attacking presence. She finished a number of difficult opportunities during camp - her strong left foot enables her to take chances others can't. She is competitive and confident and looks to attack with speed and precision. As a 2024 grad, Emma has time to develop physically and to become a high level player who would be an asset to any program.
Improve your dribbling ability - This isn't so much a weakness as encouragement. As a speedy forward, the better you can control the ball off the dribble at full speed, the more opportunities you will create and the more you will stand out.
Increase strength - At the next level, your ability to shield and to fend off defenders will be crucial. Focus on increasing your strength to handle the physicality of the collegiate game.
Reading the game - High level soccer is primarily about movement and timing. We spoke briefly about it during our evaluation, but focus on reading the flow of the game, and knowing when to come deep, when to sit wide and when to cut middle.
