Franklin & Marshall College
Chris Ackerman ( Coach )
Chris Ackerman joined the Franklin & Marshall women's soccer staff as an assistant coach for 2018. Ackerman is involved with multiple facets of the Franklin and Marshall program, including recruiting.
Previously Ackerman was at Elizabethown College for six years as the Blue Jays experienced six consecutive winning seasons and qualified for the postseason in each of the last four.
Elizabethtown's win totals increased with Ackerman on staff from 2010-14, topping out with a 13-4-0 mark in 2014. The Blue Jays went 12-8-0 in 2013 to capture an at-large berth into the NCAA Division III Tournament, their first appearance since 2007.
He has dedicated almost two decades to coaching soccer in Pennsylvania from the youth to collegiate levels, and will begin his 19th year of coaching in 2018.
In addition to his coaching experience, Ackerman has served as an instructor and coach at numerous camps and clinics. He's also been featured as a guest coach at various team practices.
Ackerman currently holds both his NSCAA Advanced Regional Diploma and NSCAA State goalkeeping diploma.
Chris and his wife Courtney reside in Mountville, Pa., with their children Schyler, Logan and Camryn.
Muhlenberg College
Dave Weitzman ( Coach )
After serving six seasons (1997-99 and 2006-08) on the Varsity Field sideline, Dave "Weitie" Weitzman returned to Muhlenberg for a third time as mens assistant coach in 2016. After two seasons with the Mule men, he moved to the women's team in 2018.
Weitzman has been a coach at various levels for more than 20 years and owns and NSCAA Premier license. He played an integral part in the success of the Lehigh Valleys NPSL (now USL-PDL) FC LVU Sonic in his six seasons as head coach, winning three NPSL conference championships, earning three NPSL "Final Four" berths, winning the 2012 NPSL national championship and losing (in PKs) to the Carolina Dynamo in the 2013 US Amateur finals. His Sonic team, which was ranked No. 1 in the country for all NPSL and PDL teams, also earned three US Open Cup tournaments berths.
Weitzman has also spent two seasons as the Men's Assistant at Lehigh University and four years as a local high school coach at both Parkland (boys) and Whitehall (girls), where he compiled a 72-14-5 record and three of his four teams earned trips to the District XI finals. In 2014, his Whitehall team won the District XI championship, and Weitzman was named the Morning Call and Lehigh Valley Live coach of the year.
Weitzman played at Keystone Junior College, where he earned All-America honors, and at the University of Pittsburgh, from where he graduated in 1995. In 2005, he played on the team that won the silver medal at the Maccabiah World Games in Israel. He also has played for several Lehigh Valley Mens amateur teams.
During his time away from the Muhlenberg pitch, Weitzman works as the general manager of the Iron Lakes Sports Dome & Field and is also the Director for Penn Fusion Lehigh Valley a local youth soccer club. He has also enjoyed past opportunities working part-time for Kwik Goal as a product consultant, regional sales rep for EDP/MAPS, EPYSA ODP program, mens assistant coach at Lehigh University, regional staff coach for the NSCAA and as a webcast/television analyst for Lehigh and Service Electric Cable TV. Weitzman has also spent part of his professional life working as an athletic director at the Allentown JCC (1994-97) and as a child care counselor at KidsPeace National Hospital (1997-2005).
Weitzman and his son, Kai, currently reside in the West End of Allentown.
Albright College
Yawo Baah ( Coach )
Yawo Baah enters his fourth season as assistant coach of the Albright womens soccer program and first season assisting the mens soccer program.
In 2018, Baah helped in guiding the womens soccer team to a program record 14 wins while also advancing to the ECAC Tournament championship game for the first time in program history. The team finished third in the MAC Commonwealth, qualifying for the conference tournament for a fifth straight year. Additionally, Baah assisted Stanco in coaching four All-Conference players in the 2018 season.
Previously in 2017, the Lions completed their season with a 12-9-1 record overall, qualifying for the MAC Commonwealth Tournament and advancing to the ECAC Tournament Semifinals. In Baahs first season at Albright, he assisted the Lions in returning to the MAC Commonwealth and ECAC Tournaments.
A 2015 graduate of York College, Baah was a part of the mens soccer team who won the Colonial Athletic Conference Championship and advanced to the NCAA Tournament all four years he attended.
College of Staten Island
Jackie Bruno ( Coach )
Jackie Bruno was named the Head Coach for Women's Soccer in November of 2019, becoming the fourth coach in the program's history.
A former high school standout on Staten Island and then top-level collegiate and professional player, Bruno will be building on an abridged coaching career that has had stops at nearby Wagner College and the New York/New Jersey Red Bulls Grassroots Programs. The appointment at the College of Staten Island is her first collegiate head coaching appointment.
Bruno, 25, already brings a rich soccer history in tow with her to the Dolphins ranks. A standout at Staten Island Technical High School, she was a four-time Staten Island Advance All-Star. From 2012-16, she starred for NCAA Division I UMass-Amherst. Bruno continued to compete professionally post-graduation. She was an All-UWS First-Team selection in 2016 & 2017 with New Jersey Copa FC, and was on the Sky Blue FC preseason roster in March of 2017, before landing with Telge United FF in Sweden, tallying five points in just 120 minutes before an injury sidelined her career a year ago.
Alongside her tremendous playing career, Bruno has been on the coaching circuit as well before landing at CSI. Serving as a private instructor for many years, she worked with U9 Girls' teams with Cedar Stars Academy beginning in 2016 and then later with the Red Bulls in 2017. From August 2016 to April of 2017 she served as a Graduate Assistant at Wagner College.
A graduate of UMass - Amherst with a Bachelor's Degree in Sports Management & Finance, Bruno achieved her MBA in Marketing at Wagner College. The Staten Island native has made it clear what her intentions are when building the CSI women's program.
Felician College
Aris Alpian ( Coach )
Aris Alpian joined the Golden Falcons as an assistant men's soccer coach prior to the 2015 season. He specializes in goalkeeper development and junior college recruitment. In April 2020, he was named Head Coach of the Women's Soccer program after serving as Interim Head Coach for the last 5 games of the 2019 season.
Alpian serves as the director of coaching for Happy Feet of New Jersey, a youth soccer development program focusing on improving children's technical abilities. He was formerly the director of NPSL operations and the director of youth goalkeeping for the Brooklyn Italians Soccer Club. He also served on the NPSL Technical Committee for the 2015 combine. Alpian possesses an Advanced National Diploma and Level II Goalkeeping Diploma from United Soccer Coaches and a 'C' License from U.S. Soccer and also serves as the Director of Goalkeeping at Morris Elite S.C. in Madison, New Jersey.
Alpian was a four-year member of the men's soccer team at Division-I Hofstra University. He later played for and worked in the front office of the New York Freedoms of the USL. He earned a BBA in marketing from Hofstra in 1999 and is pursuing an M.S. in sports management from Southern New Hampshire University.

Julie Grutzner ( Coach )
Julie Grutzner was named the assistant coach for the Brewers women's soccer team in the summer of 2020. She also serves as a facilities assistant for the Vassar Athletic Department.
Grutzner comes to Vassar following a season as the head coach of women's soccer at SUNY Purchase. During her tenure, she helped guide the Panthers to a 7-8 overall record in 2019, going 3-7 in Skyline Conference action. The team scored three or more goals six times during the season, while two players were named to the All-Skyline Conference First Team.
Before her time at Purchase, Grutzner spent 13 years at the helm of Oregon High School's soccer program where she boasted a career coaching record of 169-62-32 overall. Under her guidance, the Oregon girls team won the WIAA Division 2 State Title in 2015, were runner-up in 2016 and 2018, and were state qualifiers in 2017.
Following the 2015 season, Grutzner was named Wisconsin Soccer Coaches Association Coach of the Year, NSCAA WI Coach of the Year and the Wisconsin State Journal All Area Coach of the Year. She returned as the WI State Journal Coach of the Year in 2016, was co-coach in 2017, and won it again in 2018. Grutzner also received the Madison Sports Hall of Fame Special Recognition Award for the undefeated 2015 season (23-0-1).
In addition to her notable coaching career at OHS, Grutzner was a teacher at St. Ann School for 10 years (2008-18) and also served as the top assistant coach at Edgewood College from 2015-17. She also coached for the Wisconsin ODP (Olympic Development) program for several years. Prior to that, she was the assistant coach at Middleton High School and Robbinsdale Armstrong High School in Minnesota. Grutzner also coached club soccer for the Oregon Soccer Club, Madison 56ers and the Wayzata Soccer Club.
Playing collegiately for the UW-Green Bay women's soccer team, Grutzner helped lead the women's soccer team to a regional ranking and its most successful record to date at 13-4-2 during her junior campaign. She was named team captain her senior year and finished the season on the All-Conference and All-Tournament 2nd Teams. She capped a
stellar playing career with two years of semi-professional soccer for the Madison Freeze (1996-97).
Grutzner was a trainer for Fairfield United Soccer Association (U10, U16 premiere) and for CT Rush. She also holds a USSF C License, USSF Youth National License, United Soccer Coaches Association National Diploma and a United Soccer Association Level 1 Goalkeeper License.
Manhattanville College
Graham Kennett ( Coach )
Graham Kennett finished his sixth season as head women's soccer coach at Manhattanville and 10th season overall with the program in 2019.
The 2019 marked the Valiants return to both the Skyline Conference and the conference tournament, as Kennett guided the Valiants to double-digit wins, and their first winning season, since 2009. Kennett helped Manhattanville to 11 victories, including a 7-3 mark in Skyline play, en route to a runner-up finish in the Skyline Tournament championship game. Kennett's squad finished with single-season program records in goals (71), assists (55) and points (197). Additionally, three of his players garnered all-conference honors from the Skyline in first teamers junior Ashley Pacheco and freshman Natalie Aracena and junior Natalie Pelaez on the second team.
Kennett previously spent more than a decade coaching soccer at Byram Hills High School, serving as an assistant with the varsity boys team while also serving as head coach of the varsity girls team from 2002-05. On the boys side, he helped the team to its first-ever New York State championship in 2007 and a 98-8-5 record over a five-year span that included five league titles, four section titles and three state final four appearances. In 2010, Kennett was named the National High School Assistant Coach of the Year by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
Kennett earned his bachelors degree in computer science from the University of East Anglia in the United Kingdom, while earning an executive MBA from Columbia University and a masters in physical education and coaching from Ball State University.
Mitchell College
Marc Davis ( Coach )
Marc Davis was named head coach of the women's soccer program in November 2018.
Davis, who will make his collegiate head coaching debut with the Mariners, has spent the past four seasons as an assistant for the Mitchell mens soccer program. He also has coaching experience at both the high school and club levels.
"We are thrilled that Marc is taking over the womens soccer program," said Director of Athletics Dana Fulmer Garfield. "He brings a wealth of soccer experience at the international, club and collegiate levels, and over the past 10 years he has built strong connections in the local soccer community. His leadership and coaching have played an important role in the recent success of our mens team, and Im confident that he can bring our womens program to that same level."
Davis takes over a program that went 1-14-0 in 2018 and last produced a winning season in 2011. The Mariners are slated to return 12 letterwinners from the current roster following the graduation of two seniors.
During his time with the mens program, Davis helped Mitchell to a 20-9-0 record in New England Collegiate Conference play and four straight trips to the NECC Championship. The Mariners advanced to the title game in both 2017 and 2018, highlighted by the programs first-ever conference championship and NCAA Tournament appearance in 2017.
Before joining the collegiate ranks, Davis assisted the Montville High School program from 2010-15. He helped the Indians capture three Eastern Connecticut Conference Division 'M' titles, an ECC Tournament championship and a Connecticut State championship. During his tenure he also worked with three All-American players.
Davis is one of the longest-serving coaches of the premier youth level with Southeast Soccer Club, working with multiple teams since 2008. Many of his former players are currently playing at the collegiate level: Olivia Ferrara (College Of The Holy Cross), Halle Anderson (UMass Lowell), Katherine Pettersen (American International College), Jenna Peduzzi (University of New Haven), Allison Bruehwiler (Western New England University) and Mia Londregan (Marymount University), among many others.
Originally from Southampton, England, Davis moved to the United States in 2008. In his time in England he worked for Southampton Football Club (of the English Premier League) in their Girl's Center Of Excellence program, and was charged with developing players to compete at the national level. He holds certifications from England, most notably the UEFA B License, and has recently started the educational pathway in the United States, with the D License from the United States Soccer Federation. Additionally, he holds goalkeeper certifications from both the English Football Association and National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
Davis received a bachelor's degree in sports studies from the University of Southampton in 2005. In his playing days he competed on the Hampshire County Schools Representative team from 16 years of age to 18 and then played semi-professionally for Eastleigh FC. He currently resides in Waterford, Conn.

Sarah Wolcott ( Coach )
Sarah Wolcott began serving as the Assistant Director of Athletics for Wellness and Head Soccer Coach in the spring of 2013, and now has been promoted to Associate Director of Athletics and the Compliance Director.
Over her tenure at Cedar Crest, the Falcons have seen steady improvement with Wolcott at the helm. The 2018 season boasted the best season record (12-3) and conference record (7-1) the team has seen since the 2017 season of (8-9). The 2018 squad clinched a Conference Playoff spot, a first-round bye and hosted their first-ever Playoff game in program history. Advancing on Penalty Kicks in the Semifinals, the Falcons went to their first-ever Conference Championship Game, finishing as the Runner up, but that did not end their season. Cedar Crest earned a ECAC Bid for another first in program history, where the Falcons fell in the first round.
During this season, her team set four new school records, with 46 goals, 2.56 goals-per-game, 118 total points and 6.55 points-per-game. This squad also had the highest win percentage (.471) since 2004 as well.
Before coming to Cedar Crest, Wolcott worked as a personal trainer at the Olean YMCA in Olean, New York from 2009-2013. There she devised workout plans for individuals and groups, and helped to create the wellness centers Fat Loss Lifestyle Program. Wolcott served as the Assistant Womens Soccer Coach at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford in Bradford, Pennsylvania from 2010-2013 where she served from 2010-2013, she created the strength and conditioning programs. Wolcott also served as the Technical Advisor for the Southern Tier Sting Futbol Club in Western New York from 2012-2013.
Wolcott is an SCW cerrtfied personal trainer, and holds certifications from the YMCA for Healthy Lifestyle Principles, Strength and Conditioning, and Group Exercise. She is also a certified Livestrong Indoor Cycling Instructor.
Before starting her coaching career, Wolcott played four years of soccer at NCAA Division I St. Bonaventure University. A defender, Wolcott started 70 of the 72 games in which she appeared. In her senior campaign, she was named the St. Bonaventure Womens Soccer Defensive Player of the Year, and was selected to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America/Adidas Scholar All-East Region team her junior year. Wolcott was an NCAA Academic All-American nominee and was named to the Lowes Senior Class Award watch list.
Wolcott played in the Womens Premier Soccer League in 2010, serving as the co-captain of the Maine Tide.
She holds a National C' Coaching License and a NSCAA Goalkeeping Level 1 Diploma from the United States Soccer Federation. Wolcott has coached several club teams and worked with many clinics, camps, and individuals in the Northeast, including Lehigh Valley United FC, serving in both assistant and head coaching positions.
She received her Bachelors Degree in Philosophy/Pre-law from St. Bonaventure University in 2010, graduating with Cum Laude honors. She also earned a minor in business and nonviolent studies. She earned her Masters Degree in Sports Leadership in 2013 from Northeastern University.
